Nuclear Applications

MBRAUN offers glovebox systems and other special applications for nuclear technology.

 
    Tritium Retention System menu

MBRAUN produces special systems for the removal of Tritium from e.g. glovebox atmospheres or other production enclosures.

Tritium Retention Systems (TRS) convert tritiated chemical species (principally elemental, oxide and hydrocarbon) in the process stream to the oxide form (HTO) and removes the tritiated water by adsorption on molecular sieve beds.

    Negative Pressure Regulation menu

Environmental protection and highest safety for the users of MBRAUN gloveboxes. For work with radioactive or other hazardous materials, the gloveboxes are equipped with a constant negative pressure system.

This system guarantees a constant slight negative pressure compared to the external atmospheric pressure and works as an additional physical barrier preventing material from inside the box to contaminate the user outside.
